Two of the most-asked questions in our shop:
"Should I get PPF or ceramic coating?"
The honest answer: both, in different places. Here's why.
Paint Protection Film (PPF / "clear bra")
- Physical barrier — thick urethane film
- Stops rock chips, bug acid, scratches, road salt
- Self-healing — light swirls disappear with sun/warm water
- 10-year manufacturer warranty
- Best on impact zones: front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, headlights
Ceramic Coating
- Chemical bond — liquid that cures into a glass-like layer
- Makes paint hydrophobic — water beads off
- Easier washing, better gloss
- UV protection
- 2–5 years of life
- Does not stop rock chips
What we recommend
- Daily driver, casual buyer: ceramic coating only
- New car, want to keep paint perfect: PPF on the front (bumper / partial hood / mirrors) + ceramic on the rest
- Exotic / track car: full-vehicle PPF + ceramic on top
